The Performance Bar (2016 - 2022, WORM Rotterdam) was an out-of-the-box culture stage and a breeding ground for experiment and talent development. The concept worked as follows; there was a bar, which was regularly transformed by a simple intervention into a stage where performances took place. An overarching theme and 'master of ceremony' provided a connecting storyline. The Performance Bar presented all kinds of acts ranging from refined to popular art expressions.
The Performance Bar was popular for its diversity of adventurous open-minded women, men, LGBTQIAP+ and international visitors between the ages of 20 and 40.

The Performance Bar is an internationally acclaimed traveling performance concept and community that moonlights as a bar. We’ve been invited to represent our community in Berlin (Germany), Torino (Italy), Hull (England). Also collaborating at many event and venues in The Netherland.
The Performance Bar was nominated for the prestigious podium prize of the Gieskes Strijbis foundation. In recognition the founding fathers; Florian Borstlap and Daniel van den Broeke received a grand from the Dutch Performing Arts Fund.
